Baby it's hot outside

This past week has been extremely hot, I think the hottest week this summer!  Lilah hasn't been the biggest fan of water this summer, but since it was so hot we decided to see if she would get in her little pool...she did!

Gimme Three Steps

If you know Josh really well, you know that is a Lynyrd Skynyrd song and it is perfect for this post.  Lilah is officially on the move, she is walking all over the place!  She took her first steps on my birthday!  Since then she has been taking a few steps and here there from one piece of furniture to another, she would also flop into her bean bag chair.  Everyday it has been more and more steps. Saturday night we stopped at my brother Ed's house for a quick visit, I put Lilah down and she just took off, she was walking all over their living room.  It has continued all weekend and she surprised Grandma this morning!

       

I don't think it will be long before she is running.....

First visit to the Beach

WARNING - Long Post

Lilah had her first visit to the beach last weekend, thanks to Aunt Krista she already had plenty of sand toys!  Aunt Missi, Uncle Mike & Jaden came up from SC to go to Dewey Beach for a week, so we went to visit for the day.  We stayed at Mom-mom's house for a two nights since she only lives an hour from Dewey.

We made a stop at Josh's cousin's house to drop off our grill that she was buying from us...when we got out of the car - Lilah had a fruit snack stuck in her hair!  She lost a little hair in the front though :(

Then onto Mom-mom's house the night before -

Went to the mall to do some tax free shopping, of course we had to ride the rides for the first time, 

Boy, was it HOT! We were told that the sand was 137 degrees! Thank goodness for towels and big umbrellas.  We took Lilah down to the water and it was the opposite of the sand - cold.  She wasn't a big fan of it, she had no interest in putting her feet in the water.  She loved playing on the towel with her toys and Aunt Missi filled her bucket with water - she liked the salt water too.

Off to the beach.....

Gotta brag on my girl a little, we left Mom-mom's house before 8am & went to breakfast then drove an hour to the beach, Lilah slept  on the ride to the beach and was up the rest of the day...you would never had known she hadn't had a good nap all day, she was so good and pleasant all day.  We left around 4pm and gave her a bottle, when we looked back this is what we saw....

We then stopped at Home Goods and she slept on Josh's shoulder the whole time we were shopping - we soak up anytime Lilah does this because it is very rare.
