Trick or Treat

Since our area wasn't sure what was going to happen with Hurricane Sandy, a lot of the neighborhoods did trick or treating on Saturday evening.  So we decided to join my brother Ed's family and take Lilah for her first time trick or treating.  We found a lot of very cute possible costumes for Lilah......a monkey, a lady bug, a ketchup packet, an owl, a tootsie roll and Josh's favorite a whoopie cushion. So we decided that since April showers brought us our May flower, Lilah should be a flower.

Five Months Old

~ Lilah is sitting up all by herself now! She hasn't rolled over,
but that is okay she will eventually.
~ She smiles from 5am when we wake her up till we put her to bed at 7:30.
She will sleep to 7 or 7:30 on the weekend!
~ She giggles a lot now and is "talking" up a storm,
she will just sit in her car seat talking away.
~ She loves watching Little Einstein's, Grandma likes this show and
puts it on while Lilah has her bottle.

We so blessed to have Lilah as our little girl, she brings a lot of joy to our lives.

Pumpkin Post

I have been wanting to take Lilah someplace to take her picture with some pumpkins...babies with pumpkins make some very cute pictures.  So I decided that mom and I would take Lilah today on my lunch hour.  We went to Weber's Farm, which is the place I went when I was in elementary school.  Weber's Farm has a lot of stuff for kids - corn maze, petting zoo, huge slide and more, hopefully next year we can do more when Lilah is older.

Some people walked by and said "what a cute baby",
so Lilah smiled real big for them.

"Are we done yet?  This is getting uncomfortable"

"I"m as tall as mommy!"

"Wow, this pumpkin is bigger than me!"

She wasn't so sure about the hay at first

Looking forward to next year!

Busy Weekend

This past Saturday we had a yard sale. we have lived in this house 2.5 years and we have had 5 yard sales!  Boy, do we love to get rid of stuff.  We sold our dining room table that Josh made after we got engaged and Josh's first stacked toolbox he bought himself (he got a bigger one)...I was emotional about the table and he was emotional about the toolbox.

Three weeks ago my cousin Rachel started a new job in Baltimore, she stayed with my mom until she found a place of her own.  She moved into her new place this past weekend and her parents, my Uncle John & Aunt Patti came down with more of her stuff.  They hadn't met Lilah yet so we went out to dinner with them and Grandma on Saturday evening.

Happy Girl!

Lilah loves Rachel!
Looking forward to spending more time with her since she lives near us

Mmmm...Cereal

At Lilah's 4 month doctor visit they suggested to we start giving her rice cereal - so we tried it today.  When she saw the spoon she opened her mouth, I got some in and as you can tell from the pictures she wasn't a big fan.  We will try again tomorrow.  Josh of course got some funny pictures.

"Uh Oh something different is going to happen.
I'm in the bumbo but mommy hasn't put any toys on the tray
for me to play with.

"What is that coming at me?"

"Please no more!"

"Really! You had to give me more"

"I've put my hands down no more!"

Visit from Mom-mom & Pop-pop Wayne

I am a little behind in getting this post up about last weekend :)  Mom-mom & Pop-pop Wayne came up to go with us to the National Apple Festival in Gettysburg last Saturday.  Lilah has had her first ride on a school bus!  You get to ride a school bus from the fields you park in to the festival gate.

All smiles.  Ready to walk around the festival

Not the best picture....but we gotta put it in here.
Lilah is thinking "Really another picture"

They had cute names for the "streets" throughout the fairgrounds.
We also saw Adams Apple Way.

Josh wanted try out this cheesecake,
but we forgot all about it.

The had a fenced in area filled with hay for kids to play.
Tuckered out

Looking at all of the crafty stuff with Mom-mom
Lilah loved having someone in the back seat with her, we heard lotsa giggling.

On Sunday morning we took Mom-mom & Pop-pop to their first visit to Ikea, you can also get breakfast there for 99 cents, it was less than $10 for the four of us to have breakfast....YAY!!

Having fun with Mom-mom in the Ikea restaurant
Next visit we gotta remember to get a picture with Pop-pop!
