Six Months Old

I can't believe that Lilah is already 6 months old today, people kept telling me how fast time is going to now...WOW it sure did!

She weighs 16lbs 13oz.
She always has a smile for everyone, she could be crying and we could do something silly and she will smile.
I am expecting to see a tooth soon, she is drooling constantly and has a runny nose.
One of the ways to calm her down is to give her a bath, she will play in the water for quite awhile.  This past weekend she learned to lift her arms up when we say "Lilah is soooo big".
She isn't a big fan of food, but we will keep trying.
She gets so excited when she sees her daddy and me.

Tipi Sweet Tipi

This weekend we went to visit Grandpa & Grandma Miller in West Virignia, every year the weekend after Thanksgiving the Miller's gather at their house for another Thanksgiving dinner.  Lilah got to meet more relatives (this girl sure does have a lot of family on both sides), she had smiles for everyone.

We were looking forward to seeing Grandpa and Grandma's new tipi!  Someday, Daddy might sleep in there, but you won't find Mommy sleeping in there, haha.

Here it is!

Our First Vacation

Earlier this month we took our first family vacation with Lilah, we went to South Carolina to see Aunt Stacie, Uncle Toby, Roman and Gianna.   We went to celebrate Gianna's 1st birthday.  Lilah did pretty good in the car, on the drive down we broke up the trip in to two days; on the way home we did it all in one day - but made lots of stops to give her a break from the car seat.

It was so much fun to see the girls together, looking forward to seeing them grow up and interact more and more in the years to come

Aren't they so cute together?

"Really guys, another picture of us?"

Josh painted Toby's golf cart while we were there, he didn't an awesome job-but we had to get a picture of Toby working on the cart since Josh did a majority of the work with CJ's help.

Turkey Day

I could go on and on about how thankful I am....our life is absolutely wonderful and we are so blessed, more than we deserve.

~Thankful for my absolutely wonderful husband, Josh who is hardworking and will do anything for us "his girls", and loves us unconditionally.  Lilah's face lights up when Josh walks in to the room, she is definitely Daddy's Girl.
~Thankful for our daughter, Lilah Grace - who we prayed to have for a long time, she has brought so much love and joy to our family.  Her whole face lights up when she smiles.
~Thankful for my mom who watches Lilah for us while we work, it is a such a blessing to us and means the world to me that she is willing to do this for us and loves it also. She is willing to pretty much do anything and is such a great support for us.  She is an awesome mom & grandma!
~Thankful for my in-laws. they are wonderful to us and awesome grandparents for Lilah.
~Thankful for our home.
~Thankful for our jobs so that we can have what NEED and the things that don't need but want :).

We alternate spending Thanksgiving with my family & Josh's family, so this year we went to my brother, Brendan's home.  Everyone was there, even my cousin Rachel from Pittsburgh.

Take Two.....Sweet Potatoes

Lilah didn't like rice or oatmeal cereal - we tried both for a week and her opinion didn't change. We decided to give foods a break, thinking maybe she just wasn't ready yet.  Yesterday I bought some sweet potatoes...they were on sale too because Thanksgiving is this week! So during Lilah's nap, I got out the Baby Bullet and pureed them - a few little jars for now and froze a batch for later.

Here we go again

Not sure yet...

"Ok mom, we can try again"

"Maybe putting my fingers in my mouth will help a little"

PS - We tried them again tonight and went pretty well tonight too!
