First Thanksgiving

It was Ady Jean's first Thanksgiving!   I think she had a good one and it was a long day for her since she is ready for bed at 7:30 :)  But she had fun and was loved on by lots of aunts, uncles, cousins & Grammie.

We stayed in our pj's until we HAD to get dressed to go out.

Big sister giving her breakfast

Almost ready to go....

So my crazy brother, Brendan made a potato launcher so the boys had fun seeing how far the could launch the potatoes.

Lilah loves going to Uncle Bren's house cuz they have bunny rabits, chickens and a dog.  Everytime we go they let her go get eggs and she talks about it the whole ride to their house.

Cousin fun

Don't worry, they were all still sealed - no underage drinking

Learning to Help Others

We want to teach the girls about giving to others that don't have as much as we do locally and around the world.  Operation Christmas Child asks people to fill shoeboxes for a boy or girl in another country with sanitary items, fun stuff and candy, etc.  You mark on the box whether it is for a boy or girl and what age range.

I have done it in the past, but this is the first time for Lilah.....so on a Friday night just the two of us went out shopping to fill our shoebox - we bought for a little girl.  We got toothpaste and toothbrush, hair brush & comb, gummy bears & worms, socks, jewelry, t-shirt, crayons, soap, fish washcloth, barrettes.

We filled our box the next day while Ady was taking her nap.....

Sunday was collection day for everyone to bring in their boxes.....

Next Ady will be able to join us in filling a box too.

First Cheesecake

Lilah is a wonderful stage....she LOVES to help!  We hear "Help You" quite frequently.  I haven't done much baking in the past few years, but she likes to help make dinner.

This was a year to spend Thanksgiving with the Feeney's so I make a cheesecake and asked Lilah to help.  It was a lot of fun - and she is a great listener & helper.

First we had to make the graham cracker crust...

Time for the cream cheese

She thought she had to hold it down

Read for the oven
And she wanted to help make dinner too

Before I put Lilah to bed, I was putting the cheesecake in the fridge and this is what happened....

I dropped it, Lilah was so upset....I had to hold back tears my self.  Daddy was kind enough to go to the store to buy more cream cheese and sour cream so I could make another cheesecake and he also cleaned up the mess.

8 Months Old

Ady is such a happy girl, she has the shy thing down.  When people talk to her she will give a smile and put her head down or snuggle into your shoulder.

She is on the move!  She just started crawling the other day, not a lot though.  She is getting into Lilah's toys and thankfully Lilah is being very patient.

She has two more tooth...but not the top two front teeth, she got the ones on the side of those so she has "fangs" and it is super cute.

She is a great eater and is getting chubby :), she has even had some mac n'cheese, which she loved. Haven't found anything she doesn't like yet, but her favorite veggies seem to be sweet potatoes and carrots and just like Lilah loves fruit.

Finally sleeping through the night again and past 5:30 in the morning on the weekends!!  She started doing this two weeks ago at Mom-mom's house!

So thankful for her and having as part of our family!

Happy Hallow's Eve

We took the girls Trick or Treating at Uncle Ed & Aunt Carol's with Blake & Isaiah.  Lilah was very excited.  She got lots of candy and had a great time walking with the boys, they were very patient with her....but we eventually let them catch up with their friends :)

On our way.....
