Easter

Easter was Ady's first time to church, she slept through most of it - we weren't sure how she would due once the worship band started playing, slept right through it all.  Lilah enjoyed being in the nursery/Sunday School with the other children her age, our little social butterfly.

Our morning started off with giving the girls their Easter baskets, Ady didn't seem too impressed with what we gave....maybe next year will be better for her.  Lilah loved her new coloring books, crayons and of course the candy and yogurt melts that were in her eggs.  Didn't take her long to figure out that there was something in each egg.

Lilah wasn't thrilled about having to wear a dress and didn't want to pose for any pictures as you can tell from her face in the pictures.

She looked so cute though...

"Can I get down now?"

After church and an afternoon nap, we filled eggs to take to Uncle Ed's house to have an egg hunt their after dinner.  Lilah wanted to eat more of the candy than put in eggs, I don't blame her - took a lot of self-control.

Off to Uncle Ed's house....

Eating dinner with Uncle Tim
Learned how to jump on the trampoline

Overall we had a great day....

Family Visitors

Since Ady arrived we have had some visitors...even though they came to meet Ady, Lilah had a little more fun.  But Ady loved being held by everyone, some of her best naps :)

Our first one was Nana...she even brought gifts for both girls & the dresses she gave them were their Easter dresses, we got lots of compliments on how cute they looked.  Thanks Nana!

Next Aunt Stacie flew up from SC for 24 hours.  Lilah was loving it, she had the best time with Aunt Stacie. Lilah loved having Aunt Stacie all to herself, she didn't have share her with anyone.  We did Facetime with Roman & Gianna.  She brought gifts for the girls too!  Thank you Aunt Stacie!!

Who could be lifting Lilah up like that?
The next weekend Grandpa & Grandma Miller came up from SC for two days.  Again, Lilah loved their visit too and all the attention she got while they visited.  They gave Ady a new blanket that Grandma Miller made for her.  Grandpa bought a tricycle while he was up visiting which had a basket on the back and Lilah LOVED riding around our yard.  They also made a couple of visits to the park, which she loves.

Thank you everyone for coming to visit us & meeting Ady.  We are extremely blessed.

1 Month Old

Our new little girl is a month old today! It has been a fun, but tiring month - Ady isn't as good of a sleeper as Lilah; but she is just as cute in the middle of the night, especially when she looks at me all bright eyed at 2am.  She is getting quite chubby now - she started off slow gaining weight, by the time we had a weight check with the pediatrician at 2 weeks she had gone passed her birth weight, yay!!  So obviously she is getting better at eating and lets you know when she is hungry. She is starting to be awake more during the day and if she is sleeping, Lilah will put her finger to her mouth and say "Sshhh, baby sleeping".

I am really excited to see her develop and see her little personality come out, we have already had a few smiles.  Daddy has gotten a really big one.

Adalyn Jean

We are very excited to introduce you to our new little girl....Adalyn Jean, but we call her Ady.  She made her arrival at 12:49pm.  My c-section was scheduled for 10:30am, but we got bumped because of an emergency c-section.  Everything worked out perfectly!  She weighted 8lbs 9oz, a little less than Lilah Grace.  Josh got to see her before I did and the first thing he said was that she looked like Lilah - which means she also looked like him :), that is OK because they are beautiful little girls.

Another Daddy's girl

Lilah came to the hospital to see her new little sister, but she didn't want much to do with her - but that is OK.

We had a few visitors.....

Grandma
Mom-mom

Rachel

aunt Carol

uncle Dave

Kelsey

Riley
Jarrett, Isaiah & Blake

By the time we left the hospital Ady's weight was down to 7lb 13oz, we aren't use to such little babies. The outfit I bought to bring her home in was too big -3 months, which is what Lilah fit in and I was expecting.  Wow, a baby that needs the newborn size!
